Deeside Mineral Water

Deeside Mineral Water is a gift from nature which flows from an ancient spring in one of the most beautiful, unspoiled parts of Scotland. It is a remote area located 600 feet above sea level within the protected Cairngorms National Park and close to Balmoral Castle.

The water spends around 50 years being gently filtered through the layers of underground rock and miles of crevices.  It is during this time that the water's unique qualities are absorbed and captured.  It flows naturally under its own pressure from the artesian springs on the heather clad hillside, free from pollution and the influences of man.

Compared to most waters, Deeside has very low mineral content, a low pH value and a low redox potential, which are all common measurements of water.

The combination found in Deeside is unique and seems to encourage well-being and efficient operation in the body.

Deeside Mineral Water flows naturally from the ancient springs on Pannanich Hill near Ballater in teh unspoilt Scottish mountains and has done for thousands of years.  Earliest records were made around 1245 by the knights Templar who reportedly sampled the waters on their journeys throught the Deeside Valley.

It wasn't discovered for its purity and healing attributes until about 1760.  It was around this time that stories emerged of a local woman who was cured of a fatal disease when she bathed and drank the water from Pannanich Wells.  Thereafter people flocked to the source and an inn and bath houses were built for the visitors to enjoy the benefits of one of the purest waters in the world.
